Mechanical Engineer: Tempe, AZ



We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be a part of our dedicated team in Tempe Arizona. You will be responsible for all facets of Mechanical Engineering Design, including designing, developing, and supporting some of the most interesting and complex antenna designs.  If you are looking to kick start your career in a fast paced environment, which allows for your involvement and contribution in developing cutting edge technologies, this is the role for you!



  • Mechanical design of RF antennas for networking applications
  • Mechanical design of sheet metal & design housings
  • Work with local and foreign material and part suppliers
  • Collaborate with other project team members, other engineers, and supervisor on antenna design issues
  • Write and coordinate Bill of Materials
  • Develop test procedures for environmental qualification
  • Estimate budget for projects including cost of prototype materials and volume manufacturing costs
  • Work with external and internal vendors to requisition components and supplies for antenna projects
  • Support existing in-production products, as needed


  • A Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical design of electronics and / or plastics and stamped metal parts
  • Proficiency with 3D software packages such as Pro/E or SolidWorks
  • Experience in material selection in plastics, metals and alloys
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, extrusion and sheet metal
  • Knowledgeable in assembly processes such as screws, rivets, welding and adhesives
  • Ability to conduct FEA analysis is a strong asset
  • Experience in designing assemblies for medium or high volume electronic devices is highly preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Some (10% – 20%) travel may be required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Required education:

  • Bachelor’s

Required experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering: 8 years

Required license or certification:

  • Proficiency with 3D software packages such as Pro/E or SolidWorks
